Errol - Trombone / Backing Vocals / MC
Errol started playing music at school; starting on the triangle before joining the school brass band playing the baritone. (Its like an euphonium but smaller)
After leaving school, Errol joined a drama theatre company playing in the band (and a 'bit' of acting) but it wasn't his thing. He and another member of the company left and formed an 8-piece band called Mystic Foundation (most of them lived in the same street!) . Errol wanted to play keyboards but his brother could actually play, so he helped with the technical side until an acquaintance gave him a trombone.
When the lead singer left the band they became known as 'Asetaman', a backing band for several Jamaican & British reggae acts. Errol has been blessed to have performed with some of the icons in the reggae music industry.
Artists of the calibre of: John Holt, Alton Ellis, Gregory Isaacs, Ken Boothe, Freddie Mcgregor, Tiger, Beenie Man, Maxi Priest and Frankie Paul; whilst working with Birmingham legends like Macka B, Steel Pulse, Pato Banton, Apache Indian, Benjamin Zephaniah & Bitty Mclean where he played on his hit 'Here I Stand' which peaked at No.3 in the UK charts.
He has also worked with Taz/Stereo Nation, B15 Project, White Apache, Malkit Singh. Errol has performed at major festivals around the world including twice at Glastonbury as well as his beloved Handsworth Park.
